Neural Concept is proud to announce that American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM), a global Tier 1 supplier of driveline and metal forming technologies, has awarded our business their prestigious 2025 Innovation Excellence award. Part of AAM’s Supplier Day program, this recognition celebrates technology leadership and the successful adoption of new and emerging solutions, driving  tangible results.

A Collaboration Focused on Accelerating Engineering Innovation

AAM and Neural Concept are collaborating to reimagine product design and support the development of the next generation of electronic drive technology through our intelligent engineering platform. Neural Concept has been enabling AAM engineering teams to explore broader design spaces, identify higher-performing solutions faster and foster innovation.  

By seamlessly integrating into existing engineering workflows with intuitive 2D/3D design apps and CAD tools, Neural Concept has enabled rapid design iteration, continuous optimization, and scalable processes that can be easily adapted across future programs. This has allowed for the creation of workflows which greatly improve AAM’s efficiency, while reducing time-consuming manual trial and error and costly re-iteration of their product design.

In practice, this has resulted in increased design exploration capabilities with more of AAM’s design variations reaching stringent performance targets. Flexible optimization tools powered by our NC Studio platform have also enabled AAM to tackle complex design criteria without overhauling existing processes - making advanced design automation accessible across teams.

The Innovation Excellence award is given to suppliers who introduce transformative technologies that help AAM innovate faster and smarter. Throughout the award process, AAM leadership emphasized the value of leveraging their existing data and engineering expertise in combination with data-driven tools to do more, faster.
