Overview
Following a successful pilot in 2024, Antolin, one of the world’s major manufacturers of automotive interior components, is scaling Neural Concept’s platform across key product lines. Starting with interior lighting, the strategic partnership embeds AI design copilots into Antolin’s engineering process, with the ambition of cutting design and development cycles from weeks to days.
The stakes
Interior lighting shapes how a car feels. Designing it took weeks.
For carmakers, interiors are becoming one of the most critical areas of design differentiation, and lighting is an increasingly essential part of it. Across premium and mainstream vehicles, it elevates the driver and passenger experience and reinforces brand identity and comfort.
Antolin supplies major automakers with interior technology through 111 factories in 23 countries, with some 20,000 employees and €4.19 billion in revenue in 2024. But in lighting, its R&D teams relied on manual design iterations, guided by expertise and validated through time-consuming simulations. The process often stretched over several weeks.
The partnership
AI that guides the design. A platform Antolin’s engineers own.
Neural Concept’s design copilots are being embedded into Antolin’s engineering process, starting with lighting systems. Integrated with existing design and simulation environments, they give engineers data-driven insights that guide design decisions more efficiently, enabling faster iterations and stronger teamwork.
Beyond speed, the partnership gives Antolin’s teams ownership of their AI-driven product development platform, putting engineers at the forefront of innovation. Cooperation and efficiency strengthen across teams, while designs keep meeting the strict safety and performance standards required by global OEMs.
“Artificial intelligence is becoming an essential tool to accelerate innovation and improve design efficiency. Working alongside Neural Concept allows us to explore new ways of applying AI to strengthen our engineering processes and the capabilities of our teams.”
The roadmap
2024Successful pilot
2026Scaling across key product lines
What began as a pilot is now a strategic partnership, built for the long term: combining Antolin’s industrial expertise with Neural Concept’s AI-driven design capabilities to reinforce competitiveness and innovation across the automotive value chain.
What’s next
From lighting, the partnership will expand to other interior components, from plastic parts to complex assemblies. The long-term vision: reimagining the entire interior design process to deliver OEMs faster, more sustainable and more customizable solutions.
